About

Monica Karbovszky is an illustrator and painter. She uses ink, gouache and digital elements in her drawings. Her inspiration comes from the natural world around her, mostly from walking in forests and near the ocean. Many of the animals, birds and plants featured in her art come from real experiences. Monica has met a fox, robin and seen a brown bear. Her love of make-believe features strongly in her art with its storybook themes and whimsicalities.

She lives in Delta, Canada with her husband, and can be found holding an umbrella under the rain, watching little birds while drinking tea.
